Tattoo on holiday
A tattoo on holiday can be a lovely way to remember a place, if it is planned. Write to huginnink in Alanya early, share your dates, and we will plan around your stay.

Can you get a tattoo while on holiday in Alanya?
Yes, many visitors do. The most useful thing you can do is write to us before you travel and tell us your arrival and departure dates. Sessions are arranged by message, and we cannot promise availability, so earlier is easier.
A holiday tattoo works best when it is not squeezed into the last day. Thinking about it in advance gives time to shape the idea and plan the session sensibly within your trip. If the timing is tight, we will say so honestly, and it may be better to plan the tattoo for a later visit.
Why write early and share your dates?
Your dates decide how much time there is for the conversation, the drawing and the healing that starts after the session. If we know them early, we can suggest what is realistic and what might be better saved for another visit.
Include your idea, placement and rough size in the same message. Our usual path still applies: you share your idea, we write back, we shape it together, and then a session date is agreed. A request is not a confirmed booking.

What about sun, sea and pool while it heals?
This is the main point to think about in a holiday town. A fresh tattoo is a healing skin surface, so most studios advise avoiding soaking, whether in the sea, a pool or a bath, and keeping it out of direct sun until it has healed. That is usually around two to four weeks, depending on the person and the tattoo.
In Alanya's summer season, that can mean a quieter beach holiday than planned. Once the tattoo has healed, use sun protection on it to keep it looking its best.
Think about timing too. A session earlier in your stay can mean more healing time before you head home, but your artist's instructions come first.
Which placements are easy to protect?
Places that clothing covers easily, or that are not exposed to constant sun and rubbing, are simpler to look after on holiday. Examples might be the upper arm, shoulder blade or ribs, depending on how you dress and what you plan to do.
Areas that are exposed to sun, sand or friction can be harder. We talk through your plans honestly, and we may suggest a different placement or a different time.
Whatever you choose, think about the days after the session as well as the day itself. Loose clothing, shade and a calm routine make healing easier, even on a busy holiday.
Before you leave, you receive aftercare instructions to follow at home. If you notice spreading redness, heat, swelling, pus or fever, contact a doctor.
Questions people ask
How early should I write?
As early as you can, ideally before you book your trip or as soon as you know your dates. We cannot promise availability, but earlier gives us more room to plan.
Can I swim after my tattoo?
Most studios advise avoiding the sea, pools and baths until the tattoo has healed, which is usually around two to four weeks. Follow your artist's instructions for your tattoo.
Will I need anything for the flight home?
You will go home with aftercare guidance, and it helps to pack gentle clothing and what your artist recommends. Ask us if you have specific travel concerns.
I live here part of the year. Does this apply?
Yes. Planning around your dates helps in the same way, and so does thinking about how sun and water fit into your routine.
A memory you can keep
Send us your dates and your idea on WhatsApp or through the request form. We will write back and plan around your stay, without pressure.
A request is not a confirmed appointment; we write back to you.
