Custom tattoo design
A custom tattoo starts as a thought and becomes a drawing made for one person and one place on the body. At huginnink in Alanya, we shape it with you and the final decision stays yours.

What does custom tattoo design mean?
Custom means that your tattoo is drawn for you, rather than chosen from a sheet of ready-made pictures. We begin with your idea, your story and the place on your body, and the drawing grows from those.
We do not copy other artists' work. If you bring references, we use them to understand your taste, such as the mood, the line quality or the amount of detail you like. The drawing that follows is its own piece.
This matters for you as much as for us. A tattoo made only for you has a meaning that a borrowed picture cannot carry, and you will not meet your own tattoo on a stranger.
What can you bring?
You do not need a finished idea. Many people begin with something much looser, and that is fine. Whatever you have is useful.
- A thought, a memory or a feeling you would like to carry
- Words, names or a short phrase
- Reference images that show what you like
- The area of the body you are considering
- A rough idea of size
- Any dates that matter, if you are visiting
How does a thought become a drawing?
First we listen. We ask what the tattoo is about and how you want it to feel, and we think about how it will sit on your body, because a design that looks good on paper may need to change on an arm or a shoulder.
Then we draw a first version and share it with you. You tell us what feels right and what does not. We refine the drawing with you, adjusting shape, detail, scale and placement, until it feels like yours.
This is a conversation rather than a handover. You bring the thought, we bring the line.
Take as much time as you need between versions. Some ideas settle quickly, and others become clearer after a few days of living with a drawing. Both are normal, and neither is a problem.
Who makes the final decision?
You do. We give an honest opinion about what will look good and what will age well, and sometimes we suggest a change. But it is your body and your story, and we never rush a choice that will stay with you.
Once the design, placement and size feel right, we agree a session date. A tattoo is quoted individually after we have talked, so the quote fits the work you have actually chosen.
If you change your mind along the way about the idea, the style or even the placement, tell us. A design is easier to change on paper than on skin, and the whole point of the process is to get it right before the session.
Questions people ask
Can I bring my own drawing?
Yes. Your sketch is a good way to show what you mean. We can work from it, refine it with you and adapt it to your body.
Will you copy a tattoo I saw somewhere else?
No. We do not copy other artists' work. We can use it as a reference for style or mood and then draw something that belongs to you.
What if I do not like the first drawing?
Tell us. The drawing is shaped together, so your feedback is part of the process. We would rather adjust it than have you settle.
Do I have to know the placement already?
No. If you are unsure, we can talk through options. Placement affects the design, so it is worth discussing early.
You bring the thought
Tell us what you have been thinking about, in a few sentences, on WhatsApp or through the request form. We will write back and begin shaping it with you.
A request is not a confirmed appointment; we write back to you.

Where to place your tattoo
Where a tattoo lives changes how it looks, how it ages and how it feels to wear. The best placement is one that fits the idea, your daily life and how visible you want it to be.

How we quote a tattoo
We do not work from a price list. Every tattoo is quoted individually after we have talked, so the quote reflects your idea, your placement and the time the work really needs.
